Gramado consolidates its position among the most sought-after destinations for 2026 and reinforces its international projection with Festuris

The highlight of the destination is part of a survey conducted by the Brazilian Association of Tour Operators (Braztoa).

Brazil continues to be in the spotlight in the tourism scene, driven by a diverse portfolio of destinations and strategic actions to improve the sector. For 2026, Gramado (RS) is among the most sought-after destinations for travelers, consolidating its position as one of the main tourist hubs in the country, with strong national and international appeal.

The destination's prominence is part of a survey conducted by the Brazilian Association of Tour Operators (Braztoa), which analyzed factors such as traveler behavior, commercial performance, air connectivity, expansion and improvement of tourism offerings, as well as product repositioning and the consolidation of new experience narratives. The data reflects the main trends and opportunities in the Brazilian tourism market for this year.

In addition to its infrastructure, calendar of events, and qualified service offerings, Gramado stands out for hosting Festuris – International Tourism Fair, considered one of the main fairs in the sector in Latin America. The event is one of the major drivers of the destination's projection in the global market, bringing together professionals, brands, and destinations from Brazil and abroad, in addition to promoting business, content, and trends.

In 2026, Festuris will reach its 38th consecutive edition, reaffirming its relevance for the development of tourism and for Gramado's strategic positioning on the international scene. According to Marta Rossi, CEO and creator of Festuris, the fair plays a fundamental role in consolidating the destination and qualifying the tourism trade.

"Since its inception, Festuris has contributed directly to placing Gramado on the national and international tourism scene. Over almost four decades, the fair has encouraged the trade to strive for excellence in all its offerings, with special attention to sustainability, innovation, authenticity, and hospitality. Our commitment is to strengthen the sector through training and keeping a close eye on market changes, and Gramado has been following these details closely, which is why it frequently appears among the destinations planned and desired by travelers," Marta points out.

On the national scene, in addition to Gramado (RS), the Braztoa survey points to destinations such as Maceió (AL), renowned for its beaches and hospitality, as well as São Paulo (SP), Rio de Janeiro (RJ), Foz do Iguaçu (Paraná), Porto de Galinhas (Pernambuco), Fortaleza (Ceará), Jericoacoara (Ceará), Fernando de Noronha (Pernambuco), Lençóis Maranhenses (Maranhão), and Florianópolis (Santa Catarina) among the most sought after for 2026.

Also featured are destinations undergoing tourism development, such as Alter do Chão (PA), Bonito (MS), São Miguel dos Milagres (AL), São Miguel do Gostoso (RN), and Barreirinhas (MA), which are consolidating new travel narratives based on a combination of nature, culture, and authentic experiences.

In the international market, traditional destinations remain among Brazilians' favorites, with Orlando (USA), Lisbon (Portugal), Madrid (Spain), Santiago (Chile), Buenos Aires (Argentina), Paris (France), Rome (Italy), Punta Cana (Dominican Republic), Cancun (Mexico), and Tokyo (Japan) leading the choices.
