Since Festuris Gramado first opened its doors in 1989, one tradition has remained alive and gained new chapters with each edition: soccer. On a field where much more than the ball is at stake, professionals from the national and international tourism trade face off in a match where national passion mixes with the spirit of fellowship and networking.
On November 8, at 9:30 a.m., regardless of the weather, the Várzea Grande Sports Center in Gramado will once again host the match between the Gaucho Team and the Rest of the World Team. The game, which will be played in the traditional 11-a-side format, celebrates the integration of the tourism sector in a unique way: with sweat, laughter, and bonds that are strengthened outside the corridors of the fair and business tables.
For Larri Doile, businessman and one of the organizers of the match, the longevity of the event is explained by a spirit that goes beyond competition. "There has never been a fight, and that is why Festuris soccer continues to this day. This soccer is a gathering of friends, it is a moment of relaxation, of course, but also of connection and networking. In the end, the soccer itself is a consequence," he says.
Over more than three decades, the game has featured sports icons such as Denílson Show, Tinga, Washington Coração Valente, and Formiga. Legendary names such as the irreverent Juiz Margarida and referee Ana Paula Oliveira have left their mark on the history of the match.
The 2025 edition will be even more spectacular with the support of the Rio Grande do Sul State Tourism Secretariat (Setur-RS), sponsor of the initiative. Setur's presence reinforces the event's role as a tool for promoting the state and Gaucho hospitality. At the end of the match, the tourism stars will head to a luncheon to celebrate.
