Festuris – Gramado International Tourism Fair has already defined one of the most symbolic moments of its 38th edition. The Tourism Colors Trophy will be awarded to Dan Rios, Director of LGBTQ+ Tourism Marketing at the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (Visit Miami), internationally recognized for his work promoting diversity and inclusion in the sector.

Leading Visit Miami’s LGBTQ+ marketing strategies, Dan Rios spearheads initiatives that position Miami and Miami Beach among the most welcoming, diverse, and inclusive destinations in the world. With a strong international presence, especially in Brazilian and Latin American markets, he has played a key role in strengthening the destination’s image as safe, vibrant, and open to diversity.

Throughout his career, Dan Rios has been dedicated to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the tourism industry. His work goes beyond traditional marketing, focusing on authentic representation, community engagement, and the development of travel experiences that value individuality and cultural diversity. His efforts directly contribute to expanding the visibility and impact of LGBTQ+ tourism on a global scale.

Festuris will take place from November 12 to 15 in Gramado, bringing together tourism professionals and destinations from Brazil and abroad. This year’s theme is “Real relationships that build the future.”

Created by Festuris, the Tourism Colors Trophy recognizes individuals who stand out in promoting LGBTQ+ tourism, valuing initiatives that encourage inclusion, respect, and diversity in the sector. The award has become one of the most important in the segment in Brazil, highlighting best practices and inspiring the development of a more plural and welcoming tourism industry.

Over the years, the trophy has honored key figures in building a more inclusive tourism sector: Clóvis Casemiro (2021), Alex Bernardes (2022), Saulo Santos (2023), Maria do Céu (2024), and Antonietta Varlese (2025).
