Gramado’s Natal Luz is recognized by GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ as the longest Christmas festival in the world

The 40th edition of the Gramado event goes down in history with a world record for its 88 days of programming.

With 88 days of programming, Natal Luz de Gramado was recognized as the holder of the record for the longest Christmas festival in the world (Longest Christmas Festival) by GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS. Between free attractions and paid shows, Natal Luz has more than 350 artistic and cultural activities and involves approximately 2,500 professionals in its realization.

This 40th edition began on October 23, 2025, and its program continues until January 18, 2026. For the president of Gramadotur, Rosa Helena Volk, the confirmation of the record crowns four decades of dedication to promoting Gramado's tourism economy. “Every year we seek to surpass ourselves, innovate, and thrill. The recognition by GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS is a gift for our community and for every tourist who is thrilled and celebrates Christmas in Gramado,” she praises.

“Natal Luz was created by couples from Gramado, who had no idea how big the event could become. Today, our Christmas is fundamental to the tourism economy of the region and, why not say, of the state of Rio Grande do Sul,” celebrates Mayor Nestor Tissot.

Drone show colors the sky of Gramado on the 40th anniversary of Natal Luz

The sky over Gramado was lit up by a technological show featuring 1,100 drones on the night of December 21. In a partnership between Gramadotur, the Municipal Secretariat for Innovation and Economic Development, and the company Droneportos do Brasil, this unprecedented spectacle was part of the program for the 40th Natal Luz de Gramado.

The synchronized drones formed various Christmas figures in honor of the 40th anniversary of Natal Luz and the city of Gramado. Among the figures that enchanted the audience were a Christmas tree, a snowman, St. Peter's Church, Santa's sleigh, the new Gramado logo, and others. The show was held over Knorr Park, but could be seen from various points throughout the city.
